Ilham Aliyev: EU-Azerbaijan ties play important role in bilateral cooperation with Lithuania

The European Union-Azerbaijan ties play an important role in our bilateral cooperation with Lithuania, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on May 22 in Vilnius during a joint press statement with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.

"We thank Lithuania for its efforts to develop these relations. Two months after President Nauseda visited Azerbaijan, a Memorandum of Understanding on a strategic partnership in the field of energy was signed between the European Commission and Azerbaijan in Baku. This memorandum is being successfully implemented,” Ilham Aliyev noted.
