Azerbaijan's first lady turns 50

Azerbaijan's First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva today celebrates her 50th birthday.

Aliyeva is known for her charity activities in Azerbaijan and abroad as head of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. She is a member of Azerbaijan's parliament and a goodwill ambassador of UNESCO.

Aliyeva has three children and three grandchildren.
