Death toll from Russian attack on Ukraine's Chernihiv reaches 18

The Ukrainian city of Chernihiv has suffered a devastating rocket attack by the Russian Armed Forces, leading to an increase in the death toll to 18, with 77 individuals sustaining injuries, as announced by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service’s Telegram channel.

Rescue efforts have revealed that among the injured are four children. Additionally, the ongoing search and rescue operations have successfully extricated three survivors from the debris. The operations are still underway.

The city of Chernihiv came under fire on April 17, prompting local authorities to declare a day of mourning.
