Birbank introduces seamless metro and bus payments with QR tickets

Birbank introduces seamless metro and bus payments with QR tickets
10.07.2024 12:34
The country's first digital bank, Birbank is revolutionizing public transportation payments. Now, there is no need to wait in line at payment terminals. With the new QR ticket feature in the Birbank mobile app, passengers in Baku and the Absheron region can now pay for metro and bus rides effortlessly without the need for a physical card.

To use this feature, simply open the Birbank mobile app, navigate to the "Payments and Transfers" section, and select BakıKart. Choose your payment card and the amount, then generate your QR ticket.

Each QR ticket is valid for a single ride and remains active for 5 minutes. If not used within this time frame, the amount will be refunded to your balance within 2 hours. Ticket prices align with BakıKart tariffs, allowing passengers to adjust the fare based on their route or create multiple QR tickets as needed. Ensure your Birbank app is updated to the latest version to take advantage of this convenient feature.
