Netanyahu: "One way or another, Iran will not have nuclear weapons"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that any agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear program must fully eliminate Tehran’s ability to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.

Speaking at a conference organized by the JNS news portal in Jerusalem, Netanyahu stressed, "A successful deal would be one that prevents Iran from enriching uranium for the production of nuclear weapons."

He noted that Iran still does not possess nuclear weapons thanks to the "continuous actions" of several Israeli governments under his leadership, actions that "pushed Tehran back by a decade."

Netanyahu added that Israel maintains close contact with the United States and is prepared to take all necessary measures to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear arms. "As I have said: one way or another, Iran will not have nuclear weapons. One way to achieve this is by reaching an agreement that dismantles Iran’s nuclear infrastructure," he stated.

The prime minister emphasized that the agreement should also include a ban on Tehran’s development of ballistic missiles.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that the next round of talks between the United States and Iran will take place within the next two weeks in a European country, with Oman acting as a mediator.
