Zelenskiy concerned over possible Putin-Trump deal – WP

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and his top aides are concerned about potential agreements between Russian President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. leader Donald Trump, The Washington Post reported, citing a U.S. diplomat.

The diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Zelenskiy’s team wants to ensure Ukraine is not presented with a fait accompli following the scheduled Trump-Putin phone call on May 19.

Trump earlier announced plans to hold separate phone conversations with both Putin and Zelenskiy, saying he hopes the talks could help broker a ceasefire in Ukraine.
