Israel puts embassies worldwide on high alert after Iran strikes

Israel has placed its embassies around the world on maximum alert following a series of airstrikes on Iranian targets as part of its military operation “Rising Lion,” Israeli news portal Ynet reported on Thursday.
Some diplomatic missions may remain closed until at least Monday for security reasons. Israeli officials have also requested increased protection from host countries amid concerns over possible protests and demonstrations.
According to Ynet, Israeli air forces launched multiple waves of strikes overnight targeting military and nuclear sites across Iran, including in Tehran and the Natanz nuclear facility. Iranian media reported the deaths of several senior military officers and nuclear scientists.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei condemned the attacks, calling them a “crime,” and warned Israel of a “bitter and terrifying fate.”
