Iran's exiled prince Reza Pahlavi calls for an uprising to overthrow Khamenei after Israeli strike

Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran’s last shah and a prominent opposition figure, has called for an uprising to overthrow Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei following Israel’s strike on Iranian targets.
In a message posted on X, Pahlavi accused Khamenei of dragging the country into a war that “does not belong to Iran or its people.”
“Khamenei, the foolish leader of the anti-Iranian Islamic Republic regime, has once again led our Iran into a war that is not our war,” he wrote.
“My message to the army, law enforcement, and security services is clear: this regime and its corrupt, incompetent leadership do not value your lives or our Iran. Distance yourselves from them and join the people,” Pahlavi said.
He called on Iranians to topple the Islamic Republic through mass street protests and nationwide strikes.
