Belarus thanks Azerbaijan for assistance in evacuating citizens from Iran

Belarus has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for assisting in the evacuation of 23 of its citizens from Iran on June 16, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the ministry’s press service, the evacuees left Iran in two groups. Three Russian nationals also departed alongside the Belarusian citizens.

“We are thankful to our Azerbaijani and Iranian partners for providing the necessary conditions for the safe departure of our citizens,” the ministry stated.
