Iran’s Khamenei invokes religious symbols in message amid conflict with Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei invoked powerful religious imagery in a statement posted Monday, as tensions with Israel continue to escalate.

“In the glorious name of Haidar, the battle begins. Ali returns to Khaybar with his sword Zulfiqar,” Khamenei wrote on his official account on X.
