Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has arrested five individuals accused of working for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency in the western province of Lorestan, state-affiliated media reported on Tuesday.

According to NourNews, the suspects were detained in the cities of Khorramabad, Borujerd, and Dorud, where they were allegedly attempting to carry out espionage operations.

Separately, Iran’s law enforcement forces said they had foiled a series of planned attacks in the city of Rey, south of Tehran, which were reportedly linked to the Mossad.

Mehr news agency reported that police neutralized all threats and dismantled a group suspected of ties to the Israeli intelligence service.
