Australia relocates embassy from Iran to Azerbaijan over security concerns

Australia has decided to temporarily relocate its embassy in Tehran to Azerbaijan due to security concerns stemming from escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Foreign Minister Penny Wong said on Thursday.
Wong said the move aims to ensure the safety of Australian diplomats and their families.
She added that a crisis response team will be sent to Azerbaijan to support the evacuation of Australian citizens from Iran.
Hungary and Bulgaria previously relocated their embassies to Azerbaijan under similar circumstances.
