Israel says it struck nuclear research center, missile facilities in Iran

Israel’s military said on Friday it carried out overnight airstrikes on a nuclear research center in Tehran and several missile production facilities across Iran.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), around 60 aircraft were involved in the operation, targeting military-industrial sites that manufacture missile components and raw materials for rocket engines.
The IDF also said it struck again the headquarters of the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research (SPND), founded in 2011 by Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the architect of Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
Another unnamed industrial site believed to be linked to Iran’s nuclear development was also targeted, the army said.
Earlier, Israel issued a warning in Farsi on social media about an imminent strike near the city of Rasht. Iranian media later reported an explosion in that area.
Meanwhile, in the southern Israeli city of Be’er Sheva, an Iranian missile wounded five people early Friday. Emergency service Magen David Adom said the victims suffered light injuries, smoke inhalation, or trauma from blast shock. A previous missile had struck Soroka Hospital a day earlier.
