Trump says ceasefire between Iran and Israel has taken effect

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel has officially taken effect.

“The ceasefire has taken effect. Please do not break it,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

Earlier, Trump said both sides had agreed to a full cessation of hostilities following negotiations involving senior members of the U.S. administration and intermediaries from third countries.
