Rocket fired from Gaza lands in southern Israel, no casualties reported

A rocket launched from the southern part of the Gaza Strip landed near the Israeli community of Nirim late Sunday, the Israeli military said. No injuries were reported.
“A rocket fired from southern Gaza was detected crossing into Israeli territory. It landed in the Nirim area,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
“No casualties have been reported,” the IDF added.
Israel’s early warning sirens were activated in the region. Authorities are assessing the launch site and considering possible responses.
