Tehran never planned Trump assassination, Pezeshkian says

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran never supported any alleged plots to assassinate former U.S. President Donald Trump.

“The Iranian leadership has never supported attempts to assassinate President Donald Trump,” Pezeshkian said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

The statement comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed in June that Iran had planned to kill Trump.
