Iran's newly appointed armed forces chief, Abdulrahim Mousavi, warned Israel of a more devastating retaliation if it carries out another military strike, the semi-official Nournews agency reported on Sunday.

“If the enemies make another mistake, our forces are fully prepared to deliver a response even more decisive and crushing than before,” Mousavi said during a visit to the air and aerospace headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Mousavi took command on June 13 after the death of his predecessor, Mohammad Bagheri, who was killed during a 12-day Israeli military operation.
