Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made an urgent trip to Brussels to brief EU officials on the recent Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations in Abu Dhabi, reportedly brokered by the US, local media Graparak said.

According to sources, EU leaders questioned why the American mediation succeeded in reaching a breakthrough on the Zangezur corridor, while EU efforts had stalled for months.

Pashinyan met with European Council President António Costa, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and French President Emmanuel Macron. The talks focused on countering disinformation and Russian influence. The EU pledged to increase support to Yerevan to €2.5 billion under the Global Gateway initiative.
