First Patriot system delivered to Ukraine after new U.S. aid package — The Telegraph

The first U.S.-made Patriot air defense system promised in a recent American aid package has arrived in Ukraine, accompanied by a shipment of interceptor missiles, The Telegraph reported.
On July 13, former U.S. President Donald Trump announced a $10 billion aid package for Ukraine. Within days, a Patriot battery and missiles were delivered under an agreement involving Germany, the newspaper said.
The Telegraph noted that Washington and the Pentagon are using the move to encourage European allies to send more systems, while the U.S. pledges to replenish their stockpiles. But some countries may not receive replacement missiles until early next year.
Earlier this week, Germany announced a deal with the U.S. to send five more Patriot batteries to Ukraine — two funded by Berlin and one by Norway. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv has secured agreements for three of the ten needed systems.
