Five people, including a New York police officer, were killed in a shooting at an office building in Midtown Manhattan on Monday evening, NBC News reported, citing the NYPD.

The suspected gunman, identified as a 27-year-old man from Las Vegas, died by suicide on the 33rd floor of the building, according to ABC News. Police believe he acted alone. The motive for the attack remains unclear, and investigators are reviewing personal details of the suspect, authorities said.

At least six others were injured, Fox News reported. The building houses the headquarters of Blackstone and the National Football League (NFL), ABC noted. Offices of KPMG and J.P. Morgan are also located there, NBC said.

Police have sealed off the building, and the FBI confirmed it has dispatched personnel to the scene.
