Turkish authorities have detained 21 people in a new anti-corruption operation targeting alleged irregularities in contracts awarded by the Istanbul municipality, Sabah newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The investigation found procurement violations involving municipal companies İSFALT and İETT. A court issued arrest warrants for 25 individuals, and operations were carried out in six cities, including Istanbul, Antalya, and Bursa.
