Kadyrov responds to rumours of hospitalization in Turkey

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov on Tuesday posted a photo playing chess with his son Akhmat, pushing back against reports he was hospitalized while in Turkey.

The image, shared on VKontakte, raised questions as the clothing and scenery appeared inconsistent with the current hot weather in Grozny.

Kadyrov has not been seen in public for eight days. Turkish media previously reported he was hospitalized in Bodrum after a swimming incident. Chechen authorities have not commented.
