U.S. and Turkey moving toward S-400 solution — ambassador

The United States and Turkey are making progress on resolving the long-standing dispute over Ankara's purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack said.
“We will find a solution. It was a misunderstanding. Ten years later, the situation is different. The F-35, F-16, and S-400 issues are solvable,” Barrack told Haberturk TV.
He noted the growing bilateral trade volume and NATO’s increasing expectations of Turkey’s support as factors improving dialogue.
Turkey was removed from the F-35 program in 2019 after acquiring the Russian-made S-400s.
