Trump envoy Witkoff to visit Moscow on August 6

U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steven Witkoff, is expected to arrive in Moscow on August 6 to meet with Russian leadership, a source familiar with the visit said.

The U.S. State Department earlier confirmed Witkoff's visit to Russia this week but declined to disclose the agenda. "President Trump had mentioned that Special Envoy Witkoff would be heading to Russia. We can confirm that. I don’t have further details about the itinerary," State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce told reporters.

According to aviation sources, a plane carrying Witkoff reportedly departed the U.S. on Tuesday evening.
