Zelensky, Merz discuss Witkoff’s Moscow visit and Ukraine’s EU bid

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he held a phone call with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to coordinate positions on ending the war with Russia and Ukraine’s path to EU membership.

According to Reuters, they also discussed possible developments following U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff’s recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
