Armenia accepts Azerbaijan's proposal for Zangezur Corridor checkpoints

Armenian political analyst Stepan Danielyan said Yerevan has agreed to Azerbaijan's proposal for the installation of Azerbaijani checkpoints on the entry and exit points of Armenia’s Syunik province as part of the Zangezur Corridor project.

According to Danielyan, Azerbaijani customs officers will be stationed at these points, collecting data and transferring it to the Armenian side. "Armenia will not carry out any control," he said in comments to Armenian media.

“No actions will be taken by Armenia against Azerbaijanis passing through this section of Armenian territory,” he added.
