Trump nominated for Nobel Peace Prize with backing from Azerbaijani, Armenian leaders

U.S. President Donald Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize with the support of several foreign leaders, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the White House said in a post on social media platform X.
According to the statement, other supporters of the nomination include Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Gabonese President Brice Oligui Nguema, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the government of Pakistan, and Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungirehe.
The initiative reportedly emerged during a trilateral summit in Washington, where Aliyev said: “Donald Trump deserves this. He managed to conclude a long negotiation process in a short time.” He proposed writing a joint letter with Pashinyan to the Nobel Committee.
