Armenia to hold meetings on drafting new constitution

Armenia’s Constitutional Reform Council will soon hold meetings on drafting a new constitution, local media reported on Wednesday.

The council held its first session a few weeks ago after a long break.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in February that the new constitution should be adopted via a nationwide referendum.

Government officials had earlier said the draft would be completed before the 2026 parliamentary elections.
