A 23-year-old identified as Robin Westman opened fire at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, killing at least three people and injuring more than 20, including children, before taking his own life, U.S. media reported.

Westman, who identified as transgender, had previously shared images of weapons inscribed with antisemitic and racist messages, some written in Russian. Messages included threats against Israel and former President Donald Trump.

U.S. outlets including KARE 11 and Reuters reported that Westman drew inspiration from Vladislav Roslyakov, the gunman behind the 2018 Kerch college massacre in Crimea.

The FBI said it is treating the incident as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime against Catholics. President Donald Trump said FBI teams were on the ground and called on Americans to pray for the victims and their families.
