Azerbaijan to host CICA summit next year

 Azerbaijan will host the next summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in autumn 2026 under its chairmanship, President Ilham Aliyev said on Tuesday.

In a message to participants of the 13th CICA Think Tanks Forum in Baku, Aliyev noted that the body, which brings together 28 member states and covers 90% of Asia, plays a key role in strengthening trust and promoting regional cooperation.

“Azerbaijan approaches its 2024–2026 chairmanship with great responsibility. Our work is based on the theme ‘Stronger CICA: connectivity, digitalization and sustainable growth in Asia’,” Aliyev said.
