Photographs circulated by Lebanese journalists close to Hezbollah show Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya alive in a hospital room, after reports he had been killed.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) outlets also confirmed the information, saying al-Hayya was wounded and receiving treatment in a hospital in Qatar.

Some Israeli social media users disputed the claim, arguing the photo was old and first appeared online in September 2021. Israeli authorities have not commented.
