A frightening tremor occurred in the Aegean Sea at midnight following the 4.9 magnitude earthquake that took place in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir, causing panic in many cities, including Istanbul, citing en.haberler.com.

On August 10, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir, and another earthquake occurred at midnight. According to the data from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a 4.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir.

The earthquake, which occurred at 00:05, was reported to be felt in surrounding provinces, including Istanbul, Izmir, and Manisa.

Following this earthquake, a frightening tremor was also experienced in the Aegean Sea. According to information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), a tremor measuring 4.8 in magnitude was recorded with its epicenter in the Aegean Sea. It was determined that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 8.99 kilometers.
