Russian forces struck Kharkiv late on Sept. 23, with at least 17 explosions reported, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram. One person was injured, he added, and some districts faced power outages.

At the same time, Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said Ukrainian shelling wounded five civilians. Earlier on Tuesday, he reported one dead and at least seven wounded, including a 13-year-old girl, from Ukrainian drone strikes on Belgorod and nearby villages.

In Russia’s Kursk region, governor Alexander Khinshtein said the town of Lgov was left without power after Ukrainian strikes hit energy infrastructure. Local channels reported a substation was damaged.

Over Taganrog, drones were downed, mayor Svetlana Kambulova said, adding there were no casualties.
