Trump says tariffs will bring U.S. over $1 trillion a year

U.S. President Donald Trump said import tariffs imposed under his administration will generate more than $1 trillion in annual revenue for the country, he told One America News.

Trump said the United States had already collected more than $200 billion from tariffs and added that they were “only beginning to bear fruit.”

He has repeatedly argued that the tariffs, applied to most countries, serve as a protective mechanism for the U.S. economy.
