Rubio names next Republican presidential candidate

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Vice President James David Vance will be the Republican Party’s next presidential candidate in the 2028 election.

“I believe that if Vice President Vance decides to run, he will be the Republican nominee,” Rubio told Fox News.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had named Rubio as one of his possible successors for the presidency.
