Trump praises Erdoğan as a ‘strong man’

U.S. President Donald Trump once again expressed admiration for Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, calling him “a very strong man.”

“President Erdoğan is an outstanding person. A very strong man. Hamas respects him greatly,” Trump said.

He recently noted Erdoğan’s significant role in pressuring the Palestinian group Hamas to release Israeli hostages, adding that the Turkish president “helped a lot” in those efforts.
