Trump steps up Gaza talks ahead of Nobel Peace Prize announcement

Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera, citing a senior Hamas source, reported that mediators have asked Israeli and Palestinian delegations to conclude Gaza ceasefire talks by Oct. 10.

According to the report, Friday has been set as a “deadline” for an agreement.

The date coincides with the Nobel Peace Prize announcement. Commentators note President Donald Trump’s intensified diplomacy around Gaza, though there is no confirmed link between the talks’ timetable and the Nobel ceremony.
