Massive strike hits Kyiv, damages power plant, 12 injured

Russian forces launched a massive strike on Ukraine’s military facilities and critical infrastructure.

According to Ukrainian media, explosions occurred overnight near the Kyiv TPP-6 power plant in the Desnianskyi district. Preliminary reports suggest the site was hit by Geran drones.

The attack caused major disruptions to electricity and water supplies, leaving the entire left bank of the city and part of the right bank without power. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko described the situation as “difficult.”

Power outages were also reported in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih. Klitschko said the number of injured in Kyiv had risen to 12.
