Israel-Hamas prisoner exchange to begin Monday

The Palestinian militant group Hamas will start releasing hostages on Monday morning, a representative of the organization, Osama Hamdan, told AFP.

“According to the signed document, the prisoner exchange is to begin on Monday morning, as agreed,” Hamdan said.

Following the return of hostages, Israel is expected to release around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners from its jails, according to reports.
