A presentation of the book “History of the Patriotic War. The factor of personality” in Urdu, dedicated to Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh war, was held in Pakistan’s National Assembly. The edition was prepared at the initiative of the Pakistani government in cooperation with Baku City Executive Authority and the Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
The book has so far been published in ten languages and presented in Ankara, Astana, Tbilisi, Bologna and Kirkuk.
The event in Islamabad gathered Deputy Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, federal ministers, senators, diplomats, media representatives, NGOs and members of the Azerbaijani community in Pakistan.
Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov stressed the historical importance of the 44-day war, noting that as a result of the counter-terrorist operation in September 2023, Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity were fully restored. He added that 2025 was declared the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”
