Politico: Azerbaijan among top candidates for Gaza peacekeeping mission

The main candidates for participation in the peacekeeping mission in the Gaza Strip are Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan, an anonymous US military official told Politico
According to the source, negotiations are underway on the formation of these forces that will participate in stabilizing the situation in Gaza, and no country has made any firm promises yet. However, the countries mentioned above are the ones most interested in the issue.
The source said that in accordance with US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan, the US will send temporary stabilization forces to the region, and these forces will train police in Palestine. No US military forces will be in Gaza.
The White House, the Indonesian, Azerbaijani, and Pakistani embassies did not respond to Politico's request.
Note that an agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire in Gaza. As part of the agreement, hostages and prisoners were exchanged.
However, Israel has warned that the ceasefire will not be sustainable unless Hamas hands over the bodies of all Israeli hostages.
