CIS intelligence chiefs sign a memorandum in Samarkand

Security and intelligence chiefs of CIS countries signed a memorandum confirming the need to expand cooperation to protect national interests and counter external influence.
The document was adopted at the 21st meeting of CIS intelligence and security heads in Samarkand, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service said.
Participants included representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It was the first time Uzbekistan hosted the meeting.
