FBI probes possible assassination threat against Trump in Florida

U.S. President Donald Trump boarded his plane at Palm Beach International Airport under tightened security after the Secret Service discovered a suspicious hunting stand nearby, Fox News reported citing the White House.

The structure offered a direct line of sight to the aircraft and could potentially have been used as a sniper position. FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau had opened an investigation to determine who erected it.

Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi confirmed the agency was working with the FBI and local police, noting the incident highlighted the importance of multilayered security measures.
