The number of dollar billionaires in Russia and the United Kingdom rose over the past year to 128, according to a report published on October 29 by U.S. wealth management firm Altrata.

Since early 2024, Russia has gained six new billionaires, though their combined wealth fell from $469 billion to $457 billion. Russia and the U.K. ranked third and fourth globally, Altrata said.

The top three remained unchanged: the United States (1,135), China (321), and Germany (170).

Other countries in the top 15 include India, Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Singapore, Brazil, and the UAE.

The study is based on the Wealth-X Altrata database, which accounts for all types of billionaire assets. National affiliation is determined by the legal address of the primary asset.
