Putin asked Trump to help end Ukraine war – U.S. president
U.S. President Donald Trump said Russian leader Vladimir Putin asked him to help end the war in Ukraine during a recent conversation.
“I spoke with Putin two weeks ago, and he said, ‘We’ve been trying to end this war for ten years but couldn’t. Now it’s your turn to fix it,’” Trump said during a public address.
The president added that he could “resolve such issues in an hour” and joked about a past U.N. appearance, calling the teleprompter there “completely blank.”
