Three earthquakes hit Turkey’s Balikesir province
Three consecutive earthquakes with magnitudes above 4.0 struck Sındırgı district of Balikesir province in western Turkey, the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported.
The tremors occurred at 07:16, 07:20 and 07:21 Baku time, with the strongest reaching magnitude 4.7, while the others measured 4.2.
The quakes originated at depths of 12.3, 7.9 and 7 kilometers and were felt in nearby cities.
