Pavel Durov says theory alleging France’s role in Charlie Kirk’s death is “plausible”
Telegram founder Pavel Durov said he finds “entirely plausible” the theory suggesting French involvement in the killing of U.S. conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
According to Oxu.Az, Durov wrote on X that he reached this conclusion after “analyzing everything Kirk had ever said about France” under President Emmanuel Macron.
Durov recalled that Kirk had previously called for a 300% tariff on French wine until all charges against the Telegram founder were dropped.
His comments came in response to U.S. political activist Candace Owens, who claimed a senior French official contacted her, alleging that Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron had ordered an assassination attempt against her.
Owens’ source also asserted that Kirk’s killer had been trained in the 13th Brigade of the French Foreign Legion.
Kirk was shot on 10 September while speaking at a university event in Utah. The shot was fired from around 180 metres. He was rushed to hospital but did not survive.
