Pentagon trains to destroy Russian-made air defence systems

The U.S. Marine Corps has practised destroying Russian-made S-300 air defence systems during the Resolute Hunter 26-1 exercise held at Naval Air Station Fallon in Nevada.

According to Military Watch Magazine (MWM), the drills may have included preparation for potential operations, including possible strike scenarios involving Algeria.

During the exercise, U.S. forces used mock-ups simulating S-300 systems. These replicas allowed units to train in target detection, cueing and engagement, while also replicating the radar, visual and electromagnetic signatures of actual Russian systems.
