Trump sends envoys to Putin and Zelenskiy, outlines condition for his own meeting
U.S. President Donald Trump has instructed his envoys to meet Russian and Ukrainian officials to finalise a peace deal aimed at ending the war, he announced in a Truth Social post on November 25.
Trump said his special envoy Steven Witkoff will travel to Moscow to meet President Vladimir Putin, while U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll will meet the Ukrainian leadership.
According to Trump, his team has made “tremendous progress” over the past week. The original 28-point U.S. peace plan has been updated based on proposals from both sides, with “only a few contentious issues” remaining.
