Turkish media report that the Armenian government is in talks to sell major energy assets to Turkey’s Aksa Enerji (Kazancı Holding).

According to the reports, the discussions concern the transfer of “Electric Networks of Armenia” (ENA), which came under temporary government control after its management was dismissed. Sources claim that the negotiations may have begun back in June, during Pashinyan’s visit to Istanbul.

The talks from the Armenian side are reportedly coordinated by ruling “Civil Contract” party MP and businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan. The arrest of the former ENA head and the annulment of the company’s electricity distribution license are seen as steps toward preparing the asset for sale.

Media also report that the potential sale of other strategic assets — including the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine — is being discussed with Turkish investors.
